What’s new? OKX, one of the largest centralized crypto exchanges (CEXs) in terms of trading volume, has launched a free mini-app for messenger Telegram called OKX Racer. It asks players to guess the bitcoin price dynamics in five-second intervals.

What else is known? OKX was the first major CEX to release an application for Telegram. This direction is actively gaining momentum after the success of Notcoin and Hamster Kombat clicker games, where players are offered to earn in-game currency by clicking on the screen with the prospect of later exchanging it for real cryptocurrency on the TON blockchain.

OKX Racer also has a simple concept. Players are asked to choose whether the price of the first cryptocurrency will rise or fall over the next five seconds. The more often a player guesses, the more points they earn, and multipliers are awarded for a series of wins that increase earnings.

Referral program rewards and the ability to use earned points for in-game improvements are also available to users.

OKX Chief Innovation Officer Jason Lau noted that Telegram’s mini-app platform is quickly gaining popularity among projects that expect to attract the attention of the crypto community. In his opinion, the exchange’s new development will appeal to users and benefit the growing community.

OKX Racer is not the first game with a similar concept. Back in 2019, Solana blockchain-based platform Hxro launched a game that offered to guess the dynamics of BTC for the next five minutes.
