What’s new? Crypto.com and FIFA have signed a sponsorship agreement for the upcoming FIFA World Cup to be held in Qatar in November 2022. Under the terms of the agreement, the exchange’s ads will appear on banners inside stadiums as well as outside football pitches, Financial Times reports.
What do the company’s representatives say about this? Crypto․com CEO Chris Marsalek believes that the sponsorship will help expand its reach and client base. FIFA chief commercial officer Kay Madati sees the crypto exchange as a key partner at the time of the championship. He argues that Crypto.com has already established itself in the sporting environment and this collaboration should bring digital innovations to the world of football.
In November 2021, it became known that the Lakers basketball arena would be renamed as Crypto.com Arena. The exchange has entered into a 20-year agreement with AEG, which owns the stadium.
What is Crypto.com? It is a Singapore-based cryptocurrency centralized exchange founded in 2016. The platform collaborates with government agencies in various countries. Crypto.com also has its own mobile application and cryptocurrency wallet, which can be funded with Visa cards.
