What’s new? The restaking protocol Ether.fi has announced the launch of a cryptocurrency credit card created in partnership with the Scroll blockchain. The card comes in four categories named after popular crypto memes: Pepe, Wojak, Chad, and Whale.
What is known about the card? One of the features of the card is its non-custodial nature. Unlike traditional crypto cards, Cash allows users to store their cryptocurrency in their own wallets, eliminating the need for transfers to separate accounts. Crypto card users will also receive 3% cashback on all transactions with no limits. The card, which will be issued like a physical Visa credit card, is designed to be compatible with mobile payment providers such as Apple Pay.

The card will allow you to spend cryptocurrency from your own wallets for over 100 million merchants
By integrating decentralized finance (DeFi) functionality with a traditional credit card, Ether.fi aims to give users flexibility in managing their cryptocurrency assets. The collaboration with Scroll aims to streamline transaction processes for cardholders. The partnership will also create opportunities to offer customers a range of rewards in cryptocurrency.
Sandy Peng, the co-founder of Scroll, emphasized that the network is one of the largest markets for the Aave lending platform:
“If you put 10 Ethereum into Aave and you use this credit card, then for you it’s going to be the cheapest credit card in the world that you can find.”
