What’s new? The holder of bitcoin lost $1,14 million because of the online scammers posing as MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor. The user sent 26,4 BTC to the scammers’ address, who promised to double his funds. This was reported on Whale Alert’s Twitter account, a tracking service for large-scale transactions.

What does Saylor say? In response to Whale Alert's publication, Saylor said:
“489 of these scams were launched on YouTube last week. We report them every 15 minutes and they are taken down after a few hours, but the scammers just launch more.”
This is the biggest scam scheme where the criminals have impersonated Michael Saylor. In November, a user sent almost 3 BTC ($179 000) in a fake project where the scammers also used the name of the head of MicroStrategy.
