What’s new? GoldenTree, an international investment firm that manages $47 billion in assets, has reported the purchase of 3 027 916 SUSHI tokens of the SushiSwap decentralized exchange for a total of $5,2 million at the time of the transaction. The exchange’s representatives reported on their forum.
What else is known about the deal? The GoldenTree team stressed that it will help the exchange improve its tokenomics and will work jointly on SushiSwap’s development strategy. According to the investment company’s representatives, SushiSwap has “incredible potential.”
GoldenTree disclosed the purchase of the exchange’s stake a few days after a decentralized autonomous organization, DAO SushiSwap, elected Jared Grey as the project’s new CEO. Earlier, CTO Joseph Delong left the exchange due to disagreements in the team.
As of October 7, 08:30 UTC, SUSHI is trading at $1,32, up by 5,01% per day, according to crypto exchange Binance.
