What’s new? Google Cloud will form a team to build services for developers focused on blockchain applications. This was announced by Google Cloud Vice President Amit Zavery to CNBC. He said that while the world is just beginning to embrace Web 3.0, the market is already showing great potential, with customers asking for more support for the decentralized economy and cryptocurrency-related technologies.
What else did Zavery report? The vice president reported that Google wants to offer a hardware and software service to developers interested in building their own Web 3.0 software. Zavery noted that the company is not looking “to be part of that cryptocurrency wave directly.” In the future, he said, Google could develop a system that other companies could use to simplify exploring blockchain data. He added that this tool will be able to work in other computing environments, such as Amazon Web Services.
What is known about Google Cloud? It is a unit of Google that provides a set of cloud services that are associated with all of the company’s projects. Google Cloud was launched in April 2008.
What events happened before? In February 2022, Google Cloud released a service designed to help users vulnerable to cryptocurrency mining attacks. Virtual Machine Threat Detection (VMTD) in the Security Command Center (SCC) area aims to protect users against ransomware and data exfiltration.
