What’s new? The Binance cryptocurrency exchange has received a Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) registration from the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF). For the company, this is the first license it has received from European regulatory authorities. Binance can now offer services for the storage and sale of digital assets in France.
How did the head of the exchange comment on the event? Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said on Twitter that once all documents are approved, the company will make Paris its European hub.
What happened before? In April, Zhao reported that the company would allocate 100 million EUR to develop its business in France. Binance would partner with the local startup incubator Station F.
In March, the crypto exchange received licenses to operate in Dubai and Bahrain. A month later, Binance received approval to provide financial services in Abu Dhabi.
