What’s new? The National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic has signed a memorandum of understanding with the founder and former CEO of the world’s largest centralized crypto exchange (CEX), Binance, Changpeng Zhao, also known by his nickname CZ. Under the memorandum, President Sadyr Zhaparov said that the parties will cooperate to develop the countryэs cryptocurrency and blockchain technology ecosystem.
What else is known? For example, the agency will be provided with infrastructure and technological support, technical expertise and advice, as well as assistance in conducting educational initiatives in the field of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies.
“The signing of the Memorandum opens new horizons for the development of digital technologies and the blockchain ecosystem in the country. This cooperation marks an important step towards strengthening technological infrastructure, implementing innovative solutions, and preparing highly qualified specialists in blockchain technologies, virtual asset management, and cybersecurity,” writes Zhaparov.
He emphasized that in the context of rapid global development of digital technologies, such initiatives play a key role in ensuring sustainable economic growth and security of virtual assets. The President emphasized that cooperation with Zhao will create new opportunities for business and society as a whole.
The Binance founder himself also posted a tweet in which he revealed that he has been formally and informally advising a number of governments on creating a regulatory framework for the crypto industry and using blockchain technology to improve the efficiency of public administration.
