What’s new? The RIA Novosti news agency reports that a production workshop in Angarsk, which housed the mining farms, burnt down. According to Vyacheslav Fedoseenko, head of the Irkutsk Region’s Emergencies Ministry, the fire was caused by a short circuit.
What are the details of the accident? The fire was reported on January 17 at 4:51 local time. At the time of the rescuers' arrival, the roof was on fire. The fire was extinguished in less than an hour. The Ministry of Emergency Situations’ report says:
“The fire occurred in a production workshop, the city of Angarsk, industrial estate, Pionerskaya Street. The workshop is producing furniture and half of it is the mining farms. At 5:40, the fire was localized on an area of 900 square meters.”
No one was injured during the incident. There were 23 people and 6 mining devices working at the site. The amount of damage has not yet been reported.
