What’s new? The law enforcement authorities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory have opened a criminal case against three men suspected of stealing mining equipment, the Interior Ministry’s press service reports. The criminals stole 14 ASIC miners worth over 14 million Russian rubles (RUB).

What are the details of the incident? A man turned to the police station and reported the theft of computing equipment from his garage. The police quickly identified the suspects and their vehicle.
The three men were detained on the Siberia Highway 15 km away from the scene of the crime as they were transporting the stolen equipment. The stolen equipment has been confiscated and the suspects are being investigated for other similar crimes.
What had happened before? This week was mentioned that after the Central Bank’s report on the cryptocurrency ban, Russians started buying mining equipment less frequently. After January 20, the demand for ASIC miners dropped by almost 20%.
