What's new? Bitmain, a manufacturer of cryptocurrency mining equipment, has stopped the supply of devices to mainland China. Information about this is published in the WeChat account of the Chinese company.
In response to the Chinese government's carbon neutral policy, Bitmain said it has completed several carbon indicator purchases. The indicators are mainly derived from clean energy power generation projects in Yunnan, Xinjiang, and other places in China. https://t.co/vrAue26xZl— Wu Blockchain (@WuBlockchain) October 10, 2021
What influenced Bitmain's decision? The company decided to stop shipping due to pressure from local authorities on the digital asset market. Furthermore, the decision is in line with the government’s eco-initiatives to neutralize carbon emissions into the environment.
“From October 11, 2021, Antminer will stop shipping to mainland China. For customers in mainland China who have purchased long-term products, our staff will contact them to provide alternative solutions.” the Bitmain message says.

What had happened before? As we mentioned in September, Bitmain entered into an agreement with data center and power supply partners Bit5ive and ISW Holdings to locate 56,000 AntMiner units in the American state of Georgia. The installation should be completed by October 2022.
