What’s new? During an inspection of a car driven by a Ukrainian citizen, the customs officers found 10 ASIC miners in the trunk and the back seat. The vehicle arrived at the “Matveev Kurgan” customs checkpoint near Rostov from the Russian Federation, the press service of the agency reports.

What are the details of the incident? All of the detected devices were unregistered. According to the driver, the devices had been purchased in Moscow from a private entrepreneur for personal use. An administrative case has been initiated against the citizen of Ukraine.
What similar precedents have happened before? In May 2021, the Turkish Customs Service seized a record amount of contraband of 501 mining devices. Four people were detained in this case, the local media reported.
