What’s new? Russia is facing an even greater shortage of graphics cards. Nvidia GPUs became 41% more expensive, while AMD Radeon became 35% more expensive. The cheapest in the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 line now costs from 80 000 to 120 000 Russian rubles (RUB), with a recommended price of 25 000 RUB, RIA Novosti reports. The price of the latest Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 model, which is used for mining, reaches half a million rubles.
What is the reason for this? The increase in equipment prices is associated with the new sanctions against Russia. Some countries and companies have already stopped supplying computer equipment. On March 6, Nvidia announced the suspension of sales in Russia, it was joined by processor manufacturers AMD and Intel.
Also, the developers of the MetaMask cryptocurrency wallet have warned that they will stop serving sanctioned countries. Russian users have already been blocked on the Kuna, WhiteBIT, and CEX.io exchanges.
