What’s new? SafeGuard Cyber's Division Seven, a cyber threat detection company, has identified the Echelon virus in one of the Telegram channels dedicated to cryptocurrency. The attackers steal credentials of Discord, OpenVPN, Microsoft Outlook, Telegram, and as well as data from crypto wallets with malware.
What are the details of the hacking attack? The malware was uploaded to one of the Telegram channels about cryptocurrency trading. According to the SafeGuard experts, it was an isolated incident, most likely there was a hack of the administration’s account. The attack targeted newcomers to the crypto industry. However, the analysts believe it may not be an isolated incident and urge caution.
