What’s new? Misfits Gaming Group (MGG), a UK professional e-sports organization, has announced choosing Tezos as its official blockchain for MGG’s new gaming platform, Block Born. The project will be MGG’s gaming arm, dedicated to the development of the blockchain-based gaming space. The gaming platform will also support the community through content.
How do the parties comment on the deal? MGG’s Executive Vice President Vas Roberts noted that the gaming industry is evolving rapidly and blockchain technologies will make it more suitable for the users.
“By building new practices upon a decentralized, indexed platform, we’ll reimagine how we work with our community, peers, and partners. Tezos will help us share new levels of access, equity, and decision-making, and we’re thrilled to pioneer,” Roberts stated.
What is known about Tezos? This is a blockchain platform created to support and run smart contracts. Tezos is controlled by The Tezos Foundation, the Swiss organization responsible for promoting the platform. In December 2021, Tezos launched the NFT trading platform together with game developer Ubisoft.
