What’s new? The Opera web browser has announced support for eight networks at once to facilitate access to decentralized applications. These are Bitcoin, Polygon, Solana, StarkEx, Ronin, Celo, Nervos, and Cosmos-based IXO blockchains, Decrypt reports.
What is known about the new features? Blockchain networks support is available in Opera’s Web3 browser called Crypto Browser Project for mobile devices and PCs. The Crypto Browser Project supports decentralized applications and also has a built-in non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet. Another browser service, Crypto Corner, allows access to the latest cryptocurrency news, asset prices, commission amounts, market situation, and upcoming events.
Bitcoin, Polygon, Solana, StarkEx, Ronin, Celo, Nervos, and IXO blockchains are available to users of the mobile version of Opera for Android as of March 2022. Support for networks in the Crypto Browser Project is expected in the coming months.
Opera is one of the oldest web browsers, operating since 1995. In July 2018, the company launched the first browser with an integrated Ethereum wallet and basic support for Web3 technologies.
