What’s new? Algorand’s blockchain has seen an increase of 6 million new users since the beginning of this year, according to AlgoExplorer. The total number of addresses on the altcoin network has increased by 35%. The Algorand token (ALGO) is the 29th largest cryptocurrency by capitalization ($4,8 billion) according to CoinGecko.

What is known about Algorand? Algorand is an open-source blockchain platform focused on smart contracts. The Algorand network has been undergoing major technical upgrades since early 2022, which will allow Algorand-based products to operate on other blockchains.

Who does Algorand partner with? In February 2022, Applied Blockchain received a grant from the Algorand Foundation to create the London Bridge blockchain bridge. This bridge will allow Algorand to integrate securely with other blockchain networks, particularly Ethereum.
