What’s new? On May 31, representatives of the Floki project reported that users of the Aliexpress marketplace can buy goods using the meme token. The asset has been added to the Shopping.io platform, which allows orders to be placed on various marketplaces with payment in cryptocurrencies. “Buy from a selection of over 100 million items and enjoy shipping to over 200 countries,” the developers wrote on Twitter.

What is known about Floki? It is an ERC-20 standard token based on the Ethereum blockchain. The developers created it in 2021 by analogy with meme coins DOGE and SHIB, which were already popular at that time after Elon Musk announced that he wanted to get a dog of the Shiba Inu breed and give it the name Floki. The market capitalization of the asset is $314,42 million as of June 1, 08:10 UTC, it ranks 105th in the overall cryptocurrency ranking and is trading at $0,00003158, having lost 0,9% in 24 hours.
On May 28, Floki’s trading volumes reached their maximum value in three weeks, and the asset’s rate rose by more than 10%. The developers registered increased interest in the project from Chinese users after an advertisement for their Valhalla metaverse appeared in local sports tournaments.

Changpeng Zhao said that if the cryptocurrency does not disappear from the market in two weeks, the platform is likely to list it
On February 15, FLOKI jumped by 40% in 24 hours after Musk posted a picture of his dog Floki as Twitter’s CEO.
Late last year, American Air and Air Canada began accepting SHIB payments, and in January Musk once again urged McDonald’s to accept payments in Dogecoin. Later, representatives of British Burger King also said they would like to introduce the possibility of a payment in DOGE coins.
