Binance announced it will join the Russian Banks Association’s Cryptocurrency Expert Council

The cooperation will set a vector for the development of digital assets in Russia

What’s new? The Presidium of the Council of the Association of Russian Banks (ADB) has decided to create an expert center on digital financial assets and digital currencies. It was headed by Olga Goncharova, GR Director of Binance in Russia and the CIS.

What is the task of the expert center? Binance’s press service explained:

“The purpose of the expert center is to analyze and prepare professional opinions on the circulation of digital financial assets and digital currencies, to provide the working bodies of the ADB and its representatives with expert and analytical materials on this topic, to generalize and disseminate international experience.”

ADB President Georgy Luntovsky stated that the cooperation with Goncharova will set a vector for the cryptocurrency sector’s development. According to him, the GR Director of Binance in Russia and the CIS has “big plans” to conduct an examination of the circulation of digital currencies and organize events on this topic. Olga Goncharova joined Binance in January, before that she headed the reporting collection and processing department at the Bank of Russia for seven years.

What is known about the platform? Binance is one of the world’s most popular crypto exchanges, whose services are used by most Russians. According to Coinmarketcap, the daily trading volume on the spot market exceeds $10 billion. Binance stated that it is ready to open a representative office in Russia while registering an office on Roskomnadzor’s (The Federal Service For Supervision Of Communications, Information Technology, And Mass Media) website. The platform’s representatives explained their willingness by the fact that it will contribute to the convenience of users and the security of transactions.
