What’s new? Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has provided its customers with the ability to pay for taxis with the platform’s native tokens BNB. The service became available as part of Binance’s partnership with Splyt, a superapp enabler. The exchange’s head Changpeng Zhao shared instructions on how to use this option on his Twitter.
What else is known about the service? The ride is ordered on the Binance app and the service can be paid for with BNB tokens using the Binance Pay service. In addition to taxis, customers can also take advantage of bike rentals. Binance became the first exchange in the world to integrate this service into its app.
As of June 16, 07:20 UCT, BNB is trading at $224,67, having gained 5,46% per day.
Splyt is a company that provides solutions for combining online travel services and fintech company platforms. It was founded in 2015 in London. In addition to Binance, the company’s partners include AliPay, Gett, Uber, and Booking.com.
Changpeng Zhao previously said that crypto winter is a great time to expand staff and new acquisitions for the company. Binance already opened 2000 new jobs, as well as also planned new mergers and acquisitions (M&A). According to Zhao, Binance intends to make the most of crypto winter. He also noted that the exchange has a solid reserve to survive this period.
