What’s new? The Dogecoin (DOGE) meme token’s blockchain has deployed the first game in the 1993 DOOM series. A developer under the nickname minidogeart used Doginals technology (analogous to the Ordinals protocol on the Bitcoin network, which allows for the issuance of bitcoin NFTs) to launch. The game is “Now inscribed on Dogecoin blockchain forever!” the developer writes. Thus, all game information is extracted exclusively from data stored on the network, without relying on external sources.
What else is known? minidogeart timed the launch of the game on the blockchain to coincide with the 30th anniversary of its release. The Dogecoin version is conditionally free and contains nine levels that can be published without any legal issues.
The ability to post visual content in Inscriptions format on the Dogecoin network was introduced in May. Inscriptions are digital records by which images, video, audio, text, or code are placed on the blockchain itself.

Ordinals and Inscriptions: the fundamentals of BRC-20 tokens
We explain the distinctive features and ways of storing tokens and NFTs based on the blockchain of the first cryptocurrency
Inscriptions technology allows other coins, as well as collections of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and games, to be issued on Dogecoin in addition to the main “dog” meme token DOGE, attracting new users to the ecosystem.
According to minidogeart, Doginals adds significant intrinsic value to each transaction, turning them into permanent and secure records of ownership of digital assets. The deployment of DOOM on the Dogecoin blockchain demonstrates that even a compact game can be stored on the blockchain, emphasizing the ability to securely manage and store a wide range of digital content, the developer stressed in a comment to CoinDesk.
As of January 24, DOGE ranks 11th in the overall cryptocurrency ranking and 1st in the meme token list with a capitalization of $11,5 billion and is trading at $0,08014 on Binance, having added 3,96% overnight. Since the beginning of the year, the asset has lost 10,45%.
Earlier, the Kucoin crypto exchange entered into a strategic partnership with the developer of multi-chain Telegram-bot ETGM to work with Inscriptions in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, and Cosmos blockchains.
