What’s new? The e-commerce giant eBay plans to add support for cryptocurrency payments as early as March of this year, The Street reports. There was some speculation that eBay was ready to accept cryptocurrencies in 2019, but the company quickly denied these rumors.

What does the eBay representative say? A number of surveys show that millennials are the most cryptocurrency-friendly, which explains eBay's affinity for digital assets. CEO Jamie Iannone said the new payment method is designed to attract younger buyers:
“On March 10, we're going to go deeper on all of these things, payments, advertising, our focus categories.”
How did events develop? The e-commerce platform has so far refused to fully switch to cryptocurrencies, despite the fact that in May 2021 it began investing in NFT.
