What’s new? The developer of the Fantom blockchain Andre Cronje has said that blockchain and artificial intelligence technologies are incompatible. This is how he answered a question from a subscriber about what place the Fantom project could take in the AI industry while asking not to ask such questions in the future. According to Cronje, “That’s like asking “What role do you see for Coca Cola in the construction industry?”

Why are technologies incompatible? Cronje highlighted the qualities of blockchain, such as transparency and security at a slow speed. AI, on the other hand, has high throughput but is not as transparent as blockchain.
According to the developer, if blockchain projects take a sharp turn toward AI, it means they are not valuable and are doing so to create hype. “Blockchains don’t improve Al, and Al doesn’t improve blockchain,” Cronje added.
Last week, the tokens of several AI projects posted impressive gains amid increased investor interest in the industry. Thus, the rate of AGIX increased by 175% in 7 days, and AIRI added 900% in 30 days.
In January, ARK Invest Chief Futurist Brett Winton said that the rates of digital assets will see positive dynamics as the development of AI technologies accelerates.
