What’s new? South Korean automaker Hyundai has entered into a partnership agreement with the Meta Kongz project to create a limited edition collection of 30 NFTs. The series will commemorate the automaker’s heritage, the first Korean production and export auto, the 1975 Pony. This is announced in a Hyundai press release.
What is known about Meta Kongz? It is a Korean PFP project based on the Klaytn blockchain. The project was launched in December 2021. Kongz is a randomly generated 3D NFT PFP. The project’s tokens can be purchased on the OpenSea NFT marketplace.
What is PFP? Picture for Proof is a kind of NFT that is used as avatars.
What preceded it? Earlier, Hyundai Motor Company introduced the concept of Metamobility. With it, the company will mediate between the physical world and the metaverses using robotics. Under the new concept, Hyundai plans to release various NFTs as innovative vehicles that will help users in the Metamobility universe.
