What’s new? The employees of the Ministry of the Interior of the Kostroma region have uncovered an illegal connection to the power grid in the Nerekhta district. During the investigation, the law enforcement authorities discovered a mining farm on the premises of an abandoned building. According to preliminary data, the damage amounted to about 3 million Russian rubles (RUB).

What are the details of the case? During the searches, the police seized 250 system units, laptops, Wi-Fi routers, routers, metering devices, and an autonomous transformer substation, which had been illegally connected to the electricity grid.
A criminal case has been initiated over the illegal connection to the power grid, and the suspects are wanted. Earlier, Krasnoyarsk Territory police officers caught the attackers who tried to steal 14 million RUB worth of mining equipment.
