What’s new? IOST, a decentralized platform for smart contracts, has entered into a strategic partnership with Amazon’s Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing platform. According to the IOST release, the parties will work jointly to develop and promote Web 3.0. Plans include creating a secure and scalable blockchain platform that provides a seamless user experience.
What else is known? IOST, with the support of AWS, will integrate the AWS Web 3.0 solution into its ecosystem and expand its list of services in decentralized finance (DeFi), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), GameFi, Web 3.0, and metaverses.
Leveraging AWS’s global reach, powerful network computing, artificial intelligence and machine learning tools, and decentralized IT architecture, IOST plans to attract more developer teams around the world to create a secure and distributed digital economic system.
What is known about IOST? The platform launched in 2019, with Jimmy Zhong as CEO. It has over 400 nodes and a staking system. The community has 500 000 members in more than 20 countries. IOST is ranked as the best blockchain platform in the Basic Technology section by China’s CCID. As of March 2, IOST’s native token is trading at $0,01189, having gained 1,62% in 24 hours.
Earlier, IOST launched a $100 million fund for Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) developers. The focus is to support projects in the field of DeFi, NFT, GameFi, Web 3.0, and metaverses.
What is known about AWS? It is a leading cloud computing platform, including storage and database services, machine learning, artificial intelligence, infrastructure analytics, and the Internet of Things. In all, AWS provides about 200 full-featured services to data centers around the world.
In January, AWS and blockchain developer Avalanche entered into an agreement to accelerate blockchain adoption in enterprises, institutions, and government agencies. The partnership will make it easier for developers to launch and manage nodes on Avalanche, as AWS will support the network infrastructure and DApps.
