What’s new? The social network Instagram will soon feature the release of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). This was announced at the South by Southwest conference by the head of the parent company Meta Mark Zuckerberg, according to the author for the Platformer portal Casey Newton, who attended the event. Meta has not yet revealed a timeline for the new functionality, but Newton writes that this may happen within the next few months.
“At SXSW, Mark Zuckerberg just said that hopefully in the coming months you’ll be able to mint NFTs within Instagram.”
As of March 14, Roskomnadzor’s (The Federal Service For Supervision Of Communications, Information Technology, And Mass Media) decision to suspend Instagram and Facebook within the Russian Federation because of the circulating of messages on the social networks encouraging and provoking violent acts against Russians has been in effect.
