What’s new? The National Football League (NFL) team Houston Texans began accepting cryptocurrencies as payment for VIP tickets to games. To do this, the sports organization has entered into an agreement with BitWallet, a cryptocurrency wallet developer. The crypto firm will also exchange digital assets for the club itself. According to a Houston Texans press release, the first purchase of a ticket for cryptocurrency was made by digital marketing agency EWR Digital.
What else is known about the partnership? BitWallet is supported in more than 160 countries and currently allows users to exchange and store bitcoins, with Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Tether (USDT), and Shiba Inu (SHIB) soon to be integrated into the wallet.
The first team in the NFL to begin accepting BTC as payment for merch and season tickets became the Tennessee Titans. UTXO Management, a digital asset fund, was its partner.
