What’s new? The Tennessee Titans, an American football team, has become the first in the NFL (National Football League) to accept bitcoin as a means of payment. . The Tennessee Titans’ crypto payment partner is UTXO Management, a digital asset fund. At a later date, the team plans to make single-tickets, food, and beverage available for purchase at the game using bitcoin.

What had happened before? In February, the Washington Nationals, a US baseball team, entered into a sponsorship deal with a decentralized autonomous organization, the underlying Terra ecosystem. The deal includes title sponsorship of the premier club space at Nationals Park and sets the stage for future blockchain and cryptocurrency applications for fans.
On April 7, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) announced that it will start paying bonuses to fighters in cryptocurrency. Bitcoin payouts will be awarded to the top three athletes at each UFC event based on fan voting.
