What’s new? The Opera Crypto Browser, a web browser, has integrated BNB Chain into its interface. Android, iOS, and desktop users will now have access to decentralized applications (dApps) based on the blockchain ecosystem. Opera representatives noted that BNB Chain (BNB) tokens can be purchased for fiat money, as well as sent and received through the browser’s built-in crypto wallet.
What is the advantage of integration? Browser integration with BNB Chain will provide direct access to dApps on decentralized exchanges such as PancakeSwap, 1inch, and BiSwap, including DeFi products such as DRIP Venus, Tranches, Treehouse, ApeSwap, and AutoShark Finance.
What events happened before? In 2019, Opera Crypto became the first major browser to accept bitcoin payments. At the end of March 2022, the web browser reported support for eight networks at once to facilitate access to decentralized applications. In question are Bitcoin, Polygon, Solana, StarkEx, Ronin, Celo, Nervos, and Cosmos-based IXO.
At the end of February, Opera announced its integration with DeversiFi, a StarkWare-powered solution. This made Opera for Android the first mobile browser with an Ethereum Layer-2 wallet available.
