What’s new? Employees of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Dagestan have stopped the operation of three mining farms that had been illegally connected to the power grids. A total of 4343 ASIC miners worth over 500 million Russian rubles (RUB) were seized, TASS reports.
What are the details of the operation? One farm was connected to the grid of a trolleybus park in Makhachkala. In the Kizlyarsky district, the Elektron company was paying for the mining hotel’s operation with 3000 devices at a rate for private individuals. The third farm was located at an agro-industrial complex in the village of Novoye Gadari.
The experts estimate that the total amount of power consumed by these farms was 8MWh. The exact amount of damage is being determined by the Dagenergo specialists. Recall, earlier the FSB successfully carried out an operation to detain hackers from the REvil group.
