What’s new? The Robinhood platform has announced on its website the opportunity to give cryptocurrency to friends and family. The promotion will start on December 22 and run until the end of the Christmas holidays.
How will the feature work? In order to avoid losing money, the users who receive a gift will be notified. They will have 14 days to confirm receipt, after that period the unaccepted cryptocurrency will be returned to the sender. The ability to give gifts will only be available in the US, except in Nevada and Hawaii.
What does Robinhood say about the feature? The company hopes that the promotion will give newcomers a chance to understand cryptocurrency. Robinhood also suggests that crypto-gifts will contribute to charity during the holidays.
