What’s new? The developers of the Ronin Network sidechain, used by the Axis Infinity blockchain game, said that the bridge is scheduled to resume operation on June 28. Initially, the restart was prepared for June 23, but the team was forced to postpone it. According to the representatives of the project, all users affected by the exploit will be reimbursed.

What else do the developers say? They noted that restarting the bridge will require a network hardfork, during which validators will have to update their software. The project team is focused on making minor adjustments to improve security.
On March 29, Ronin suffered a hack that led hackers to withdraw more than $625 million in cryptocurrency. The FBI linked the attack to the North Korean hacker group Lazarus. The US Treasury Department put the wallet that held some of the funds from the hack on a sanctions list.
In April, Binance blocked some of the assets that the hackers had sent to the exchange's wallets. Thanks to this, Ronin was able to return $5,8 million.
