Jupiter exchange team has selected over 3 million wallets to participate in the second JUP airdrop

What’s new? The team at Solana blockchain-based decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregator Jupiter has announced the second JUP native token airdrop. According to the preliminary draft, the giveaway will take place in January 2025, with 700 million coins worth over $593 million at the current exchange rate.
What else is known? Of the total, 425 million JUP will be given to ecosystem users, and another 75 million to stakers, with the amount for each wallet being fixed. The remaining 200 million is allocated to participants in the Carrots program for the mobile app, where the amount will range from 50 to 200 coins per wallet, and Good Cats, where the amount will be determined based on the application.
Based on the set thresholds for minimum trading volume, over 3 million wallets are eligible to participate in the event. Of these, 2 million are exchange users who have made swaps of at least $1000 and will be able to receive 50 to 20 000 coins per wallet depending on their rank.
Another 320 000 wallets are expert traders who use more complex products such as perpetual futures and limit orders, they can claim between 50 000 and 100 000 JUP.
The airdrop is also open to 650 000 staker wallets and 66 000 Jupiter Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) members who vote on the development of the project.
Solana becomes the leader in the number of new developers

JUP is ranked 109th overall cryptocurrency by market capitalization with a market cap of over $1,14 billion and is trading at $0,8481, having added 1% overnight. The weekly increase was 6,8%, and the asset has risen by 28,53% since its launch in January.
Jupiter is the second-largest project in the Solana ecosystem after liquid staking protocol Jito, with a total value locked (TVL) of $2,475 billion. The record high of $2,649 billion was reached on December 18.
The first Jupiter airdrop remained the largest in the Solana ecosystem for a long time, as 639 000 wallets participated. At the end of October, the record was broken by the GRASS project with 1,5 million wallets.
