What's new? The cryptocurrency platform Bakkt has published a press release announcing the merger of the business with VPC Impact Acquisition Holdings and the launching of the company’s shares on the New York Stock Exchange.
What is known about the deal? The merger ended on October 14, with a total revenue of $448 million. The received funds will be used for the development and promotion of the Bakkt platform.
“Closing the business combination provides us with the necessary capital to continue to do what we do best, which is innovate. We remain focused on building out a broader partner ecosystem, expanding the digital assets that we capture and offer today.” said Gavin Michael, Chief Executive Officer of Bakkt.
As for the company's shares, they will be available on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker BKKT starting from Monday, October 18.
