What’s new? The US Figure Skating Association has published a press release announcing the start of accepting donations in cryptocurrencies. The athletes can be supported using assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, and a number of stablecoins.

What other details are known? The technical side of accepting donations will be the responsibility of the Engiven platform, with which the association has entered into a cooperation agreement. Among the main advantages of accepting donations in cryptocurrency are the following: no taxation and the ability to directly support athletes and develop training programs.
According to Ramsey Baker, CEO of the US Figure Skating Association, the launch of the platform will contribute to the search for “innovative ways to fund clubs, figure skaters, and sports initiatives.”
