What’s new? One of the world’s largest mobile operators, Vodafone, has announced the test launch of a new blockchain platform. Vodafone’s upcoming plans include using a platform called Digital Asset Broker (DAB) to work with the Internet of Things.
What else is known about DAB? The platform will be used to automatically exchange information on a single secure distributed registry between devices connected to the network. This applies to the Internet of Things, such as in a smart home, where appliances and other gadgets will be able to carry out transactions themselves: paying energy bills or ordering goods.
“In future, it will even be possible for coffee machines to automatically order refills or for a streetlight to exchange data about traffic flows with other smart city objects,” Vodafone’s representatives stressed.
