What’s new? Since the beginning of December, large holders of ETH have bought another 410 000 coins worth $940,95 million (at the Binance exchange rate as of January 9). This was reported by analyst Ali Martinez, citing data from the Santiment platform on the status of wallets with balances between 1 and 10 million ETH.
What else is known? Earlier, Santiment analyzed wallets with non-zero balances in six major networks and found that the volume of such ETH addresses showed the greatest growth over the year. Thus, during this period, the indicator grew by 54% (to 112,1 million wallets).
As of January 9, 09:10 UTC, ETH is traded on Binance at $2295, over the day the rate of the asset grew by 3,31%, and for the year by 77,83%.
Late last year, analysts at P2P org reported that the asset’s year-to-date issuance fell by 82% since the blockchain switched to the Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm. In addition, ETH supply declined by 0,215%, making it a deflationary asset yielding real returns, the company noted.
On January 4, Santiment reported that the 150 largest ETH holders had accumulated a record 56,25 million coins on over-the-counter wallets.
