Yandex adds widget with cryptocurrency rates into the search bar

What’s new? Yandex company has updated the functionality of the currency converter in the search system. Users can view data not only about currencies of different countries but also about 143 crypto assets. RB.RU reports, citing the press service of Yandex.
What else is known? After entering a text query, users receive a result with a chart of a cryptocurrency exchange rate and conversion tools directly under the search bar in a special widget. In this, the search engine recognizes not only queries with a specific asset name but also slang variations of words such as “ether.”
The cost of crypto assets can be viewed in Russian rubles, US dollars, euros, and other fiat currencies. In the near future, it is planned to add the function of conversion of some crypto assets to others. The service receives all rate data from CoinGecko, a cryptocurrency market data aggregator.
In January, the social network Twitter integrated 30 more cryptocurrencies into its price viewing functionality, first introduced on December 21, 2022, for bitcoin and Ethereum. Twitter gets the data for the charts from TradingView, a technical analysis platform, they also include a link to online broker Robinhood, where one can not only see changes in the value of assets but also buy them.
