What’s new? The sportswear and footwear manufacturer Adidas has announced the collaboration with the NFT projects such as Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), GMoney, and PunksComic.

“The metaverse is where anyone can express their most original ideas and be their most authentic selves. And thanks to the blockchain [and NFTs], the content creators can own a piece of what they create,” Adidas said in a statement.
What is known about the collaboration? It's not yet clear exactly how the company's partnership with the NFT projects will evolve. Meta (formerly Facebook) has already invited Adidas into the metaverse the company is creating. The representatives of the organization, founded by Mark Zuckerberg, left a comment with an invitation under the Adidas post on Twitter.
Also, Adidas had previously hinted at the creation of its own metaverse together with The Sandbox project.

How did events develop? The first rumors about Adidas' interest in NFT began circulating in mid-November. Then the company presented a collectible token on the POAP platform.
At the end of November, Adidas also agreed on a partnership with the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase.
