Armed robbers stole 100 video cards for mining in the Moscow region

What’s new? On July 16, in the village of Kuchino, near Moscow, unknown offenders robbed a mining farm that was located on the warehouse premises of the VkusVill supermarket chain. According to a security guard, armed, masked criminals broke into the premises through the fence and handcuffed the farm’s guards. The attackers managed to take out 100 video cards, which were used for cryptocurrency mining, the Mash portal reports.
Details of what happened. The robbers also stole CCTV footage and a security guard’s traumatic gun, before fleeing in a Gazelle car. The police are looking for criminals. According to preliminary estimates, the amount of damage is about 1 million Russian rubles.
Earlier, the Kyiv police together with the Security Service of Ukraine exposed a fraudulent scheme under the guise of investing in mining. Four unknown persons convinced the victims to invest money in a data center for cryptocurrency mining, promising high returns, and then fled with the funds received. The attackers face up to eight years in prison.
