What’s new? As it became known from various media outlets, Binance’s management has set up a large-scale rebranding of Binance Coin (BNB). Many of the company’s services will get a new name that has no connection with the Binance cryptocurrency exchange.

What changes are planned? The Binance Coin token becomes a BNB token with a corresponding ticker. Interestingly, the BNB ticker is now suggested to be decoded as “Build and Build.” Binance Chain and Binance Smart Chain will be renamed BNB Beacon Chain and BNB Smart Chain, respectively. And the common name of the ecosystem is now not tied to Binance and will be positioned as BNB Chain.
In addition to the rebranding, Binance reported that the company will move towards developing the MetaFi standard, which will combine technologies such as metaverses, GameFi, Web 3.0, and SocialFi into a single system.
