What’s new? BlockFi, a crypto platform, conducted a survey among American women called “Real Talk: Women & Crypto.” The survey showed that women have started buying cryptocurrencies more often than they did 6 months ago. Almost one in four women surveyed already has wallets with crypto assets.
What are the results of the survey? 15% of women surveyed are interested in a career related to cryptocurrencies. Alongside this, the number of crypto-related jobs has increased. The survey results showed that women are most interested in buying BTC (71%), DOGE (42%), and ETH (18%). But not as interested in NFTs and crypto mining. Only 5% have already purchased non-fungible tokens. 70% of women who own cryptocurrencies are hodlers, they buy but do not sell.
BlockFi co-founder Flori Marquez said:
“There’s no better way to learn about something new than by doing - especially when diving into the seemingly complex world of crypto. It’s very exciting to know that women are becoming more aware of the benefits of owning crypto and expressing interest in working in the crypto sector. Now it’s our responsibility to continue to close the education gap and provide as many on-ramps as possible for women.”
