What’s new? Bitrue, a digital asset trading platform, has announced that Cardano’s native token ($ADA) will become a base currency on the exchange. According to a Twitter post, Bitrue will merge ADA with various crypto assets including Cartesi ($CTSI), flux ($FLUX), Reserve Rights ($RSR), DigiByte ($DGB), Bancor ($BNT), Kyber Network ($KNC) and Loom Network ($LOOM).

What is known about Cardano? The activity on the blockchain network has increased dramatically recently. The number of new addresses created daily has jumped 167%. The data in the CryptoCompare report shows that the large holders of over 300 000 ADA tokens doubled their assets in January, taking advantage of falling prices. Also in early February, Cardano’s block size increased by 11%.

How has Bitrue used Cardano previously? The first supported blockchain network token on the exchange was $OCC, a service token of the OccamFi DeFi-platform adapted for Cardano. Bitrue first placed ADA trading pairs in April 2019 against USDT, BTC, and XRP. Last year, the exchange also launched ADA community betting pools and open-source deposits.
