The Walt Disney Company has published an announcement seeking a corporate attorney to work on transactions related to emerging technologies such as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), metaverses, and decentralized finance (DeFi). The candidate must provide legal advice and support on “NFT and cryptocurrency-related matters and issues” and ensure compliance with the US and international regulatory requirements.

What else is known about the vacancy? The responsibilities will also include the expertise of blockchains, cloud providers, and trading platforms. Advice on “NFT and cryptocurrency-related matters and issues” should be conducted with an eye toward securities law. The company’s representatives noted that Disney plans to accelerate its development in the field of blockchain. They warned candidates that new projects usually rolled out “on an accelerated and aggressive timeline.”
