What’s new? On September 15, Epic Games listed the first NFT game called Blankos Block Party on its store. The project was developed by the Mythical Games team and the beta version of the game was released back in 2020. According to the studio, it currently has more than 1 million users.

More details about Blankos Block Party. The project is a free metaverse. In it, users can create, buy and sell unique in-game items such as clothing and equipment. The game has its own separate NFT marketplace, where all items are collected.
The game’s concept is based on the Blankos, vinyl-style “dolls” brought to life, of the same name, and the game itself is a set of mini-games for the company. That said, the game is still in early access.
Earlier it was reported that another blockchain-based game, GRIT, would appear on the Epic Games store. It is an online third-person shooter set in the Wild West. The game’s engine uses blockchain to authenticate unique in-game items and allows players to trade NFTs. Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney noted that the company does not intend to influence studios’ decisions about integrating NFTs into their projects.
In April, Epic Games, a developer of computer games, and the Lego Group, a manufacturer of plastic construction toys, began working together to create “a family-friendly” metaverse.
