What’s new? Meta added a feature by which users who own non-fungible tokens (NFTs) will be able to publish them on the social networks Facebook and Instagram. To do this, it is necessary to connect a cryptocurrency wallet to the account in one of the social networks, after which the post will be available in both. The post itself will look like an ordinary picture, but it will be marked “Digital collectible.” The post will also tag the owner of the token and its creator.
We’re introducing the ability to post digital collectibles across @facebook and @instagram. You can now connect your digital wallet to either app to share your #NFTs on both. What else is known about NFT integration? Meta is also working on the animation of NFTs and integrating entire collections. Earlier this year, CEO Mark Zuckerberg mentioned that Meta would be working on displaying NFTs through Instagram Stories and making them compatible with its augmented reality app, Spark AR.
In early August, Instagram added support for NFT in 100 countries in America, Asia-Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East. The social network supports Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Rainbow, and Dapper Wallet, as well as Ethereum, Polygon, and Flow blockchain tokens.
