What’s new? Darkhorse, a studio, has announced the start of production of the world’s first film, fully funded with the FilmCoin token (FLIKS). With the token, owners can participate in financing the making of pictures that interest them, as well as nominate their candidates for roles, the Be[in]Crypto portal reports.

What is known about the film? The picture called Tales From The Trap will focus on the stories of wars between drug-dealing gangs. It is a “gritty no-holds-barred true story set within the UK rap scene,” the makers say.
The Darkhorse studio’s plans also include releasing NFTs related to the films and the music used in them. Holders of the non-fungible tokens will have the opportunity to visit film sets and exclusive events.
As of June 27, 09:30 UTC, the rate of the FLIKS token is $0,00366, according to CoinGecko.
In April, crypto exchange Coinbase announced the release of a trilogy of films inspired by the NFT collection of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) called The Degen Trilogy. The owners of BAYC tokens will be able to cast for the roles by offering their virtual monkeys as characters.
