What’s new? Former SoftBank CEO Marcelo Claure has said that he invests 10% of all his assets in bitcoin. He said fears of a possible upcoming recession drove him to increase his BTC holdings by 80-90%. During a panel discussion at the Bitcoin 2022 conference, Claure stated that government monetary policy has led to inflation around the world. He added that he sees bitcoin as one of the safest ways to preserve wealth.

What is known about Claure? He served as president and CEO of the telecommunications company, Sprint Corporation, from 2014 until 2018. In 2018, he was appointed CEO at SoftBank Group International. Claure stepped down at the end of January 2022. He currently serves on the board of directors for T-Mobile and is the chairman and CEO of the investment company Claure Capital.
What had happened before? Robert Kiyosaki, American writer and author of the bestseller “Rich Dad Poor Dad” has repeatedly called for investing in cryptocurrencies. In March, he again predicted the collapse of the dollar. In his view, this will happen because of the unstable geopolitical situation in the world. Kiyosaki urged to buy more gold, silver, and cryptocurrencies. He emphasized Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana.
