What’s new? The FTX exchange will list the NEAR Protocol (NEAR) token. The platform has announced that the auction will begin on April 19, 2022, at 17:00 Moscow time. The following trading pairs will appear on the exchange: NEAR/USD and NEAR/USDT. Deposits and withdrawals will be open on April 19, 2022, at 05:00 Moscow time.

What is known about the NEAR Protocol? It is a platform for creating smart contracts and decentralized applications, launched in 2020. NEAR is a proprietary blockchain token that is used to pay commissions, and staking, and also gives the owner the right to participate in votes on project development.
What is known about FTX? It is a centralized cryptocurrency exchange for trading derivatives headquartered in the Bahamas. It was created in 2018 by trader Sam Bankman-Fried and programmer Gary Wang. As of 2022, the platform has over one million registered users.
What had happened before? In early April, NEAR Protocol completed a funding round and raised $350 million from major funds and investors. On April 7, Zorax Capital founder Zoran Kole announced in a post on Substack that NEAR Protocol is launching a stablecoin that will offer 20% profitability.
